Barclays Cash for Schools Competition - posted 13th January, 2010

The Wakefield Express, Pontefract and Castleford Express and Hemsworth and South Elmsall Express are currently running an initiative with Barclays Money Skills called Cash For Schools, which will see 10,000GBP shared between the five schools collecting the most tokens from our papers.

The school collecting the most will receive £3,000; second prize is £2,500; third prize is £2,000; fourth prize is £1,500; and fifth prize is £1,000.

We have now started printing tokens to collect, in the Wakefield Express, Pontefract and Castleford Express and Hemsworth and South Elmsall Express, and we will print one every week until the second week of March.

Pupils, parents and supporters should cut their tokens out of the paper and send them to the school. After we have printed the final token, on March 12, we'll then be asking schools to send them
in to us so we can work out who the winners are.

Numbers are calculated on a token per pupil basis, so small schools will have just as much chance of winning as larger ones. Schools
which are running a financial project, such as a tuck shop or school bank, will qualify for extra tokens.

So help your school win a slice of this fantastic cash prize and start collecting Cash For Schools tokens today!
